Spearman playstyle
Spearman's polearm gives slightly longer melee range than Fighter or Page, and its later advancement (Dragon Knight) is built around party HP utility. Tier lists call it well-rounded but without a standout strength at second job.
Guides describe it as the most party-oriented of the three Warrior branches at second job: its longer reach makes it easier to tag multiple targets while still standing in melee, and the HP support it builds toward at Dragon Knight is a reason some players pick it over Fighter despite the similar mid-pack tier placement.
How to get Spearman
Pick Warrior as your base class at level 10 from Dances with Balrog in Perion, then advance to Spearman at level 30 from the Warrior job trainer.
Who should pick Spearman
Players who want a Warrior with longer melee range and plan to support the party at higher levels.
