MapleStory Classic events: Founder's First Step check-in rewards, the GM event schedule through October 20, 2026 and what starts at Grand Launch.

The MapleStory Classic events running during Founder's Access are a daily check-in called Founder's First Step and a series of GM events hosted live in the game. Both end on October 20, 2026, the day before the Grand Launch. This page lists every date, the rules for joining and the rewards, all taken from Nexon's Founder's Access release notes.

Nexon publishes the schedule in UTC. The US Pacific column is our own conversion: because the events start at or just after midnight UTC, they fall on the evening of the previous day in the Americas. Founder's First Step runs the whole time, from October 6 at 6:00 PM UTC to October 20 at 11:59 PM UTC.

Founder's First Step check-in rewards

Reach level 10, then talk to Maple Administrator and accept the quest named [Event] Founder's First Step. After that, each day you check in with Maple Administrator counts as one more day.

Check-inRewards
Day 1Leaf Points (5,000) Exchange Coupon, Megaphone x5, Super Megaphone x3, Atmospheric Effect Box x3, Red Potion x30, Blue Potion x30
Days 2 to 7Leaf Points (1,000) Exchange Coupon, Red Potion x10, Blue Potion x10
Days 8 to 14Megaphone x3, Atmospheric Effect Box x1
  • Missed days do not reset the count. Nexon's example: claim Day 1 on Monday, come back on Wednesday, and you receive the Day 2 reward.
  • Once per account for each check-in day, so a second character cannot claim the same day again.
  • Potions are permanent and account-bound. The coupons, megaphones and effect boxes are untradable and last 7 days.
  • Atmospheric Effect Box gives one random 7-day effect out of five: Snowy Snow, Sprinkled Flowers, Soap Bubbles, Sprinkled Presents or Snowflakes.

Leaf Points are, in the words of Nexon's FAQ, an alternative source of Cash currency in Classic World. Fourteen check-ins add up to coupons for 11,000 Leaf Points by our count. Level 10 is also when you take your first job; the job advancement guide and the beginner guide cover the way there.

How to join MapleStory Classic GM events

Talk to Paul at Lith Harbor during the event window to move to the event map. Two conditions keep you out: you already own a Scroll of Secrets, or you took part in a GM event in the past 24 hours. The Scroll of Secrets is the reward for all three mini-games.

  • Jump quest: finish a physical fitness course within 15 minutes. Movement and jump are set to default values, skills such as Haste and Teleport are disabled, and consumable items have no effect.
  • Ladders and portals: climb through three stages and pick the right portals before time runs out. Some portals lead on, others send you back to the start. The same movement rules apply, and reaching the last stage earns the scroll.
  • Coconut harvest: two teams hit coconut trees for 5 minutes. Only melee attacks work; ranged attacks and skills are disabled. Harry on the event map sells a melee weapon if you do not have one. The winning team receives the scroll.

Movement skills are switched off in the two climbing events, so they play the same for every class. The class tier list matters for training, not here.

GM monster summons in towns

On three dates the GMs summon monsters in towns for everyone to fight together: Mano, King Slime, Mushmom, Zombie Mushmom and Jr. Balrog, each with its own rewards. Nexon notes that death penalties do not apply while you are in a town, so dying in these fights costs you nothing. Four of those five are regular launch bosses, and King Slime is the boss of the Kerning City Party Quest.

MapleStory Classic events at Grand Launch

Nexon has announced two things for October 21, 2026. The Mark of Beta event is planned to begin at Grand Launch; the release notes give no further details. Accounts that completed the two event quests in Closed Online Tests #1 and #2 can claim the Classic Beginnings Label and Chat Ring from that day. The release date guide has the launch time by region, and the Founder's Pack guide covers the package items that arrive by mailbox.

MapleStory Classic events FAQ

When are the GM events in MapleStory Classic World?

Between October 8 and October 20, 2026, starting at 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM UTC. The calendar above lists each date.

How do I get a Scroll of Secrets?

Complete the jump quest, reach the last stage of the ladders and portals event, or be on the winning team in the coconut harvest.

Do I lose my check-in streak if I miss a day?

No. Founder's First Step counts total check-ins, so a missed day only delays the next reward.

What is the Mark of Beta event?

An event Nexon plans to start at Grand Launch on October 21, 2026. The release notes do not describe its rules or rewards.
