The MapleStory Classic Frieren collaboration is a cosmetic outfit sale, the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Signature Style Collection. It is not an in-game event, quest line or NPC. The boxes were sold before launch and the sale has closed, but buyers collect their items now: the coupons arrive in the in-game mailbox from October 23 to November 3, 2026. This page covers how to claim them, the odds per box and what can be moved between characters. It also explains why the Frieren event you may have read about belongs to main MapleStory, not MapleStory Classic World.
How to claim your Frieren items
- Finish Maple Island on the character you want the items on. The mailbox delivery opens only after you leave the island.
- Open the in-game mailbox between October 23 and November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM UTC, and collect the coupons.
- Use the coupons to get the outfits, hair and face styles.
The patch notes say these coupons and their items cannot be traded to other players. Claim them before November 3: the notes give no later window. The events page lists the other mailbox rewards running at launch.
What was in the Signature Style Collection
Each box was a random roll for one character outfit, sold at 7,900 NX each or 10 for 79,000 NX until October 7, 2026 at 4:59 PM PDT. The Grand Launch notes list outfit sets with hair and face coupons for Frieren and her companions. The odds per box, as the MeowDB database lists them from Nexon's rate table:

Frieren herself was the rarest result: 4.5% across her three variants, so about one box in 22 on average. Lügner, at 30%, was the most common.
Moving items between your characters
According to MeowDB, unopened boxes and opened outfit items can move between your own Classic World characters through the Cash Inventory. Selector coupons and the hair and face styles cannot. Duplicate items that qualify go through a redemption system that exists only in Classic World. MeowDB marks two points as unconfirmed: whether unopened boxes and coupons expire, and whether opened outfits are permanent. Nexon lists a seven-day collection duration.
Classic World Frieren vs the main MapleStory event
Main MapleStory ran its own MapleStory x Frieren event from September 9 to October 7, 2026, with Grimoire missions, a Frieren pet and outfits. That event was in main MapleStory only. MapleStory Classic World has no Frieren missions, pet or NPCs; its collaboration is the outfit collection above. The October 22 patch added no Frieren content.
