The MapleStory Classic third job is not in the game yet. MapleStory Classic World opened Founder's Access on October 6, 2026 with first and second job only, and Nexon has not announced a date for third job. This page collects what Nexon has said so far, what the closed test showed and where the level cap sits, with the source for each point. It is updated when Nexon posts something new.
MapleStory Classic third job status at launch
Nexon's Founder's Access release notes list two advancements: first job at level 10 and second job at level 30. They also set the maximum character level at 100. Third job is not listed, so every level from 30 to 100 is played on your second job. The job advancement guide has the trainer for each base class, and the class pages cover the ten second-job branches you can pick from today.
| Advancement | Level | In the launch build |
|---|---|---|
| First job | 10 | Yes |
| Second job | 30 | Yes |
| Third job | 70 in the August closed test | No |
What Nexon has said about third job
The clearest statement is in an interview Nexon published on October 2, 2026 with Hanbyeol Oh, the executive players know as Inkwell. Asked whether Classic World would simply follow the original MapleStory update order, Inkwell said no. Content such as third job or certain regions may be introduced step by step where it makes sense, but the team does not plan to replay every old update in the same order. Some content will be picked, some adapted, and some will be new, as Forgotten Hollow and Citizenship already are.
The same answer says a more detailed post-launch roadmap would be shared at MapleStory Fest in October. Nexon lists MapleStory Fest 2026 for Saturday, October 17, in Los Angeles. That is the next place to expect news, though Nexon has not promised a third job date there. Inkwell also said the Grand Launch on October 21 brings another new piece of content and that a new boss is in the works; neither was described as third job. The release date guide covers the Grand Launch itself.
What third job looked like in the closed test
Third job has already been playable once. In Closed Online Test #2 in August 2026, Nexon's notes put the three advancements at levels 10, 30 and 70. From August 11, testers could set a character to level 100 at the Chief's Residence in El Nath to try third job skills freely. That test also ran an airship from Ellinia Station to Ossyria, with Orbis, El Nath and the Dead Mine open to explore.
A test build is not a promise. The Founder's Access notes describe Maple Island and Victoria Island only, and level 70 is what the August test used, not a confirmed live requirement. Skill numbers from the test can change as well, so this wiki does not publish third job skill tables yet.
What to do until the MapleStory Classic third job arrives
- Pick a second job you like playing for seventy levels. The best class guide matches each class to a playstyle.
- Compare the classes on the class tier list, which is built from lists written for second job.
- Use the leveling guide for training maps up to level 70.
- Run the Kerning City Party Quest and the launch bosses with a party.
