Is there a regular maintenance day?
Nexon has not announced a fixed schedule for MapleStory Classic World. So far scheduled patches have been announced a few days ahead: the October 15 patch was posted on October 13, and the Grand Launch maintenance on October 19. Unscheduled maintenance comes with no notice, as on October 8 and October 22. Three of the four fell on a Thursday, but four is too few to call that a pattern. After an unscheduled maintenance, Nexon has extended the duration of timed Cash Shop items as compensation; that extension does not mean the downtime ran over.
How to check if MapleStory Classic is down
- Nexon's maintenance news: every notice is posted on the MapleStory maintenance page at nexon.com, with a Classic World label. This is the official source.
- Community status pages: maplestory-classic.com and MeowDB run unofficial status pages that read Nexon's notices. Nexon has no official server status page for Classic World.
- After maintenance: restart the Nexon Launcher or Steam so the client downloads the patch before you log in. The download guide covers both launchers.
