This MapleStory Classic release date guide covers both stages MapleStory Classic World is rolling out in: Founder's Access, which opened October 6, 2026, and the Grand Launch on October 21, 2026. Here is what each stage includes and what changed to get there.
Founder's Access: October 6, 2026
Nexon posted the Founder's Access release notes on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:00 PM UTC. Founder's Access requires a Founder's Package and opens with four jobs up to level 100, five challenge bosses, the Crafting and Citizenship systems, the Kerning City Party Quest, a 14-day check-in event and four GM events.
Grand Launch: October 21, 2026
The Grand Launch on October 21, 2026 opens MapleStory Classic World to everyone, Founder's Package or not. Expect the servers to be at their busiest around this date, and expect more coverage and more competing guides to go up in the days around it. New characters starting then should follow the same beginner guide and leveling guide that cover Founder's Access.
What changed since the closed tests
Nexon's notes point out several balance changes made between the second closed test (CBT2) and the Founder's Access build, including Bless trading its Accuracy and Evasion bonus for a flat 15% reduction to damage taken, and Bow Mastery trading Evasion for Critical Rate and Speed. See the class tier list for how the published tier lists read the current balance, or browse all ten classes directly.
