This MapleStory Classic job advancement guide covers how MapleStory Classic World's four base classes work, plus the starting Beginner: Warrior, Magician, Bowman and Thief. You choose a base class at your first job advancement, level 10, then a second-job branch at level 30. At launch, job advancement stops there; third job is not part of Founder's Access, so levels 30 to 100 are played on your second job.

First job advancement: level 10

At level 10, head to the town trainer for the base class you want. You cannot switch base classes on the same character afterward; a class change means starting a new character.

WarriorDances with Balrog, Perion
MagicianGrendel the Really Old, Ellinia
BowmanAthena Pierce, Henesys
Thiefthe Dark Lord, Kerning City

Second job advancement: level 30

At level 30, return to your base class's trainer to pick one of its second-job branches. This choice only happens once per character.

Warrior

Magician

Bowman

Thief

Why there is no third job yet

Founder's Access and the Grand Launch cap job advancement at second job; Nexon's release notes list first and second job trainers only, with level 30 to 100 played entirely on your second job. See the release date guide for what else is and is not in at launch.

MapleStory Classic World job advancement FAQ

Can I change my base class later?

Is there a third job in MapleStory Classic World?

Not at Founder's Access launch. See the class tier list for how the ten second-job branches compare in the meantime.
