The MapleStory Classic Founder's Pack, which Nexon calls the Founder's Package, comes in three tiers: Snail, Orange Mushroom and Zakum. Only the two higher tiers include Founder's Access, the early start that opened on October 6, 2026. Sales end on October 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT. This guide compares prices and contents and lists the deadlines that still matter after you buy. Every figure comes from Nexon's own pages.
MapleStory Classic Founder's Pack tiers and prices
| Package | Price | EUR / GBP | Founder's Access | Items |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Snail | $29.99 | €29.99 / £25.99 | No | Mark of the Founder (Tan), Glimmer of the Founder, Jr. Balrog Invasion x50 (a transformation consumable that expires after 90 days), Well-Loved Outfit Set |
| Orange Mushroom | $59.99 | €59.99 / £51.99 | Yes | Everything in Snail, plus Mark of the Founder (Brown), Glow of the Founder, Founder's Thief Outfit Set |
| Zakum | $79.99 | €79.99 / £69.99 | Yes | Everything in Snail and Orange Mushroom, plus Mark of the Founder (Black), Radiance of the Founder, Manji's Outfit Set, Founder's Chat and Label Rings |
Nexon states that every item is cosmetic and carries no stats, and that any character can equip them. The practical difference between the tiers is therefore early access and the look of your character, not power. Packages are for MapleStory Classic World only, cannot be gifted, cannot be bought with NX and are limited to one per account on each platform.
Which MapleStory Classic Founder's Pack gives early access
Orange Mushroom and Zakum include Founder's Access; Snail does not. A Snail buyer waits for the Grand Launch on October 21, 2026, like everyone else, and gets the Snail cosmetics on first login. The release date guide has the launch time by region.
What early access gets you is a head start of about two weeks in the launch build: first and second job, five bosses, crafting, Citizenship and the Kerning City Party Quest, plus the Founder's Access events that end on October 20. The beginner guide and the best class guide are the places to start once you are in.
Upgrades, Steam and where to buy
Packages are sold on Nexon's Founder's Package page and on Steam. The two stores work differently:
- Nexon website: all three tiers. You can upgrade to a higher tier by paying the difference until sales end. Only the extra items are delivered, and a package cannot be downgraded.
- Steam: the Zakum Package only, at $79.99, for Windows and macOS. Nexon says Steam's policies do not support upgrades, so it offers only the most complete tier there. The Zakum contents are the same on both stores.
| Upgrade on the Nexon website | Cost |
|---|---|
| Snail to Orange Mushroom | $30.00 |
| Snail to Zakum | $50.00 |
| Orange Mushroom to Zakum | $20.00 |
A Zakum Package bought on Steam can be played through either the Nexon Launcher or Steam. The download guide explains both installs.
Deadlines for claiming your items
| Deadline | What happens |
|---|---|
| October 14, 2026, 11:59 PM PDT | Sales and upgrades end. |
| November 30, 2026, 11:59 PM UTC | Last moment to pick the package up from your in-game mailbox. Unclaimed items expire. |
| 30 days after claiming | Time you have to open the package once it is out of the mailbox. |
The package is delivered on your first login and can be opened after your character leaves Maple Island. Outfit sets arrive in a box with a 30-day duration. Once opened, the outfit pieces are permanent and untradable, though you can move them between characters on the same account and world through the Cash Inventory.
Is the Founder's Pack worth it
That depends on what you want from it, and Nexon's own description settles most of the question: the items are cosmetic, so no tier makes a character stronger. Before the Grand Launch the only functional benefit is Founder's Access. Nexon describes the items as exclusive, and the posts read for this page do not mention a later sale. If your interest is progression rather than looks, the free guides on job advancement and leveling matter more than any package.
