Pure Water is an MP potion in MapleStory Classic World that restores up to 800 MP, and you get it by buying it for 1,120 mesos from one of three shops on Victoria Island: Florina Beach, the Sleepywood sauna or the Ant Tunnel Park store. No monster is listed as dropping it. Players usually look for it because two quests ask for one, starting at level 10. This page lists where to buy it, what it does and the quests that need it. The data is community-reported: it comes from the MeowDB database at launch prices, not from Nexon.
Where to get Pure Water in MapleStory Classic
Every shop sells Pure Water at the same price, 1,120 mesos, and buys it back for 112. In the launch build three NPCs carry it:
| Seller | Location |
|---|---|
| Valen (Grocer) | Florina Beach |
| Mr. Sweatbottom (Sauna Manager) | Regular Sauna, Sleepywood |
| 24 Hr Mobile Store | Ant Tunnel Park, Sleepywood Dungeon |
The database also names two sellers in El Nath, but El Nath is not open in MapleStory Classic World yet; the launch build covers Maple Island and Victoria Island only. The Ant Tunnel Park store is the closest for players training in the Ant Tunnel maps from level 21. The database lists no monster drop for Pure Water, and some players report it from Magic Boxes.
What Pure Water does
Pure Water is a use item that restores up to 800 MP. It stacks to 100 and can be traded. At 1,120 mesos it costs more than the basic Blue Potions, so most players buy it for quests rather than for MP; Magicians who burn through MP at higher levels are the exception.
Quests that need Pure Water
| Quest | From | Level | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andre's Request | Nella | 10+ | Work Gloves, 188 EXP, 351 mesos |
| Jane's First Challenge | Jane | 44+ | 10 Elixirs, 9,940 EXP, 1,389 mesos |
Each quest asks for one Pure Water. Andre's Request is open right after your first job at level 10, which is why so many new players search for the item; the beginner guide covers that stretch.
